Any cheap one should do for anything handheld electronic. I wouldn't go putting it in an electrical outlet though. I have the red etekcity that I got on amazon for $12ish.

You would need to add the driver for the panel as well.

Yes, a multimeter is STRONGLY RECOMMENDED to the point of mandatory for testing your connections. You just need one that has a continuity mode on it which even most cheap ones do these days. The icon should look like the left side, and if you have the icon on the right, it means that it will put out...

No, it is not possible. The v3 stopped production because the screen was not being produced anymore so Helder had to switch to a new one.

It should be the other way around. Did you check your continuity before putting it together? Did you use flux? If you did, is it no clean flux?
Can we see a pic of your soldering?

The one next to the screen alone is save state and then function (controller half) + the button next to the screen will load the previous save state.
