Re: something i noiticed and caused me a lot of wasted time

Probably the large ground pad on the battery monitor pcb. You have to apply quite a bit more heat to that pad to get a good solder connection. Everything will test good but move flex the assembly just a bit and you lose ground.

Re: Not all "All-in-one" boards are the same

That's a common ground button pcb. I'm pretty sure it is based on an early Helder design. I don't see where it is sold as an AIO board. These boards have been used a lot to build GBZ's with success, you just have to use other parts that are already installed onto AIO's.

Note, on retropie 4.2, ssh appears to be disabled by default, you're gonna need to enable it to transfer over wifi. Maybe follow this, https://nostalgiatechs.com/enable-ssh-retropie/
This is the Minty pi section so if th OP is using Wermys image then ssh is enabled.

Re: WTB Helder's MintyPi Screen & Button PCB set

Just bought all the parts needed from Wermy, now I just need to wait for Helder to announce his parts.... well.. that, and I need to find all the other electronic parts via local or online shops as well. Edit: Added a new project build thread here: http://www.sudomod.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=32&t=...

Re: Need Some Help with a screen

It's going to be hard to center on the pins because of how much you cut from the sides. That may be your main problem.

I barely have enough money for the necessities for this project. I do not have enough money for the sound card and speaker. Can the mintyPi be wired with out a speaker?
PM me I have extra speakers and a sound card. I would like to help you have the full Minty Pi experience.

Re: Lcd Help.

Can't tell from the picture, but do you have the ribbon attached to the Button PCB upside down? Also the screen cable doesn't look attached very well.
