Making the screen fit into the shell was the biggest challenge. ... So there was a lot of component removal and replacement to get the driver board thin enough to fit. How do you find the quality of the refresh rate?
I just installed the Version 8 BW screen and I find the screen hurts my eyes on mostly black screens.

Came here to say thank you for this! After 6 hours of debugging wires for my USB audio sound card RogerX in chat recommended this post and wow, it worked! After soldering a tiny jumper wire to connect PP40 and PP35, my audio works! You can also just leave an empty OTG cable in the data USB port and ...

I've wired up the USB audio directly to a speaker, works fine. As soon as I wire in the 2.5w amp, lots of feedback/hissing. Any updates?
