Was able to finish it up and started playing it. 1B6A2D29-5C90-47EF-AF4E-D7ED2223DBE4.jpeg 97319CFB-653A-4ADF-97AF-C483413366DB.jpeg 563FA452-4D50-4826-94A7-8677895E7A02.jpeg At the moment the battery is on the outside because I dont have the right...

Re: GBZ build Playstation inspired
Forgot to take progress pictures, but I made a bracket for the screen with acrylic and glued it down with epoxy. The screen is only pressure fitted. Not glued down, however it took a lot of effort to make it fit without breaking it or it being too loose. I glued down the power cables from the power ...

Re: Build reccomendation for tinkeyboy 3.0 or 2.0
I am in the middle of a build using The V3 controller. All you need to add for a functional GBZ is: Raspbery pi of your choice (PiZero, PiZeroW or Pi3 being the most common) Monitor/screen (Amazon BW or Gearbest) Powerboost/converter/charger (Adafruit 500c/1000c, Gearbest powerboost) -the gearbest p...

Re: GBZ build Playstation inspired
Thanks for your interest!
I received my Gearbest screen today, have been unable to test it out due to work. Tomorrow I should have an update.
I am really excited for this part of the project!

Re: GBZ build Playstation inspired
Yay! So I contacted TinkerBoy and he suggested I tried a fresh install of retropie. I did so and the Pi immediately recognized the V3 board. Will test with ROMs at a later date. I am thinking of painting it, because I did the hole for the microUSB charging port and it came out so ugly. I am thinking...

Re: GBZ build Playstation inspired
Not much of an update, but started testing out electronic components. First up is the on/off. It is a simple SPDT switch connected to the adafruit 1000c. I did the same connections as Wermy on his custom GBZ build. Circuit tested out good, so i will update next time with any news. F3BA177A-9F8D-4589...

Re: GBZ power circ issues
I have no idea how to help you, but i do have a question for my own knowledge.
Why do you have power going from the battery and from the booster to the Safe shutdown board?
I don't have something like the safe shutdown board, so I am interested for future knowledge.

Re: GBZ build Playstation inspired
Making the holes for L1R1 turned out to be more difficult than expected because they are ovaled instead of round. I used a step drill to make an initial hole of 9/32” and a round jewelers file to open it up. They are so ugly... 8009CCC4-855C-441B-8BC3-1796D0F48B4A.jpeg I used perf’board and a ...
