Re: Sleep Mode

Would it be possible to make the buttons not work while sleep mode is activated, so the buttons couldn't get accidentally pressed? How would I turn off the backlights or disable the wifi? I don't have much raspberry pi experience, both with software and hardware so how would I disable the running p...

Re: Sleep Mode

Hi :) My AIO will allow you to turn off the backlight, and wifi, but the main issue you're going to have is that the Pi doesn't have a sleep state.. you could certainly implement something that would downclock the pi, disable all running processes and hopefully save some power.. but it's not going t...

Press start on the main menu and re-configure your controls (assign them all again).

Re:

Fantastic update :) Using the PCIe connector would work well, some kind of PCB would be needed to hold it, or it's big enough to be glued in (x4 pictured below) http://atechfabrication.com/images/htpc/products/PCIe-x4%20Riser%20006-320.JPG Any PCBs carts would just need to have finer pins.. OR you c...

Re: Full VGA (640x480) 3.5" display - costum parts

DPI connector coming eventually.. this specific screen doesn't have a simple interface so a bit more work is needed.. also the datasheet is pretty vague (and chinese) and the Pi can't even generate some of the signals (so other ICs need to be used).. It would be great if the Pi DSI connector had mor...

Re: Lower Power Indicator (Onscreen Battery Meter)

I've barely scratched the surface with mine, it's just a proof of concept at the moment.. It can be written to do whatever .. But mine does feature full colour and transpareny and requires no hardware for the app the run (the C code doesn't call any hardware pins, it just reads files).. I'm currentl...

Re: CM3 Breakout "Daughterboard" Concept

This is actually really funny as I saw the specs have been released now for the CM3 and I had this exact same thought!! Ultimately I'd like to redo the main board to directly take the CM3 but this could be a good lead up to it (being compatible with original boards and also anyone could have a pi3 i...

Re: Is my screen controller board toast?

...The image you posted is confusing me though because I'm not sure if I'm supposed to connect the 5v wire from where it's being bridged in this picture below and then connect the ground some other way. ... You don't need the ground wire as you have already have the ground pin on the main connector...

Re: Is my screen controller board toast?

The missing pad just looks like ground (as none of the other pins are ground!) so it won't matter as you wouldn't be soldering that pin anyway (from the looks of it). Use some nail varnish remover (acetone) and get rid of the gunk and it should make it clearer. The guide here says to attach a wire ...
