Re: Visual Memory Unit - Dreamcast
Actually, of more concern is if the Pi will fit between the screw posts. They look to be 30mm apart but I think a little filing should fix that. looks like a zero is 30mm wide, so its almost like it was made for the job!! http://www.raspberrypi-spy.co.uk/wp-content/uploads/2015/11/pi_zero_mechanica...

Re: My First Project
That would be awesome, if I owned a laser cutter I would do it. The guy that cut my pieces for me is to expensive :( Maybe i can just cut the layers with a saw??? you could cut with a saw yeah!! the only advantage with the laser cutter is precision and speed, there is nothing stopping you doing it ...

Re: Visual Memory Unit - Dreamcast
looks like it's going to have to stick out of the top and use the 'cap' but then the VMU kinda already does that (it has its connector ports at the top with a cap over like some USB sticks do), but should fit fine within that constraint. with a quick ruler measurement about 8mm spare you can say yo...

Re: My First Project
what would be awesome, is if you build the case up in layers, with lazer cut holes for all your components.

Re: Visual Memory Unit - Dreamcast
VMU arrived! There are loads on ebay right now... Anyway looks perfect: IMG_20170126_125237.jpg that screen looks like a perfect fit!! the only thing i would say may be of concern is the distance from the end of the screens actual visible 'display' area and the end of that pcb. But actually as i am...

I do like the laser cut wood look! How do you plan to mount all the "guts"?

Re: minimal pi
Still one of my favorite builds. Great work!!! Thanks man, fancy seeing you here! Cool. Are you running that in conjunction with fbcp? Yeah fbcp for the screen, it's the only way really. I think there are versions of MAME that can output straight to the frame buffer, but just for simplicity is easi...
