Re: [For Sale] L and R button Bracket
ok, so I finally had a few minutes to start playing with your bracket and Kite's SAIO back board... As it stands, the spacers will ideally not be installed, however, there is a plug at the bottom of the board that is in the way with your bracket. I had to modify the bracket a little to make it fit, ...

Re: [interest check] DMG pre-cut cases
if you're still taking reservations, I'd be interested in a black one. Using Kite's SAIO (second gen), so usb and led holes would be great!

Re: [Guide] Graceful shutdown switch without Pololu
@camble I got a metric ass ton of wiring and whatnot done these past few days. Fully wired up the shutdown pcb today and it works great! I noticed that when the battery is plugged into the powerboost and it is charging through the micro usb, it doesn't safely shut down (and similarly when the batte...

Re: All in One PCB Support Thread
Too many quotes in the message I couldn't figure out what or who was asking for what. In your picture I don't see the USB data lines going to the Pi and I don't see how your screen is being powered either. How are you testing the audio? Are you connecting the Pi to an HDMI screen? Sorry about that....

Re: [Guide] Graceful shutdown switch without Pololu
Hi, can anyone help me. Im running out of ideas. Tried almost every configuration shown in this post and i dont know how to get it to work. With this configuration above i am able to use the power switch the right way. Pins above, left off, right on. I installed the power monitor. After the boot it...

Re: [Pre-Order] Safe Shutdown Switch (PowerBoost Version) - Closed
Just for testing purposes, I disconnected all the GPIO connections. Connected keep-alive directly to the 3.3V output on the pi, and pulled the SD card (so it never boots). In theory, once I turn it on, it should never turn off... I've taken some more measurements... Measured vs ground, I get 3.3V at...

Re: [Pre-Order] Safe Shutdown Switch (PowerBoost Version) - Closed
@jsawhite Please disconnect from the PowerBoost and test the resistance between the EN and GND pins of the PCB with the switch in the OFF position. Before you go buying replacement JFETs, I must warn you that I've had a huge problem getting ones which work, due to differences across brands (and I'v...

Re: [Pre-Order] Safe Shutdown Switch (PowerBoost Version) - Closed
ok, so I'm actually beginning to think my fet is bad... If I understand the circuit correctly, fet de-energized essentially closes en<->gnd. Switch on breaks the en<->gnd connection to power it on. Then the 3.3v from the pi (to keep-alive pin) energizes the fet essentially keeping the en<->gnd alway...

Re: [Pre-Order] Safe Shutdown Switch (PowerBoost Version) - Closed
@johweb You can try using another GPIO pin, or remove the dtoverlay line altogether and use UART BCM14 (Physical pin 8) So is there any drawback to using pin 8 instead of a standard GPIO pin (with dtoverlay)? I like to keep my retropie setups simple (when I decide to rebuild) and one less step is o...
