I love it! Laser cut acrylic has such a nice finish. Gizard’s right. You should consider kitting this out. It’s a brilliantly done project, and the custom theme is the icing on the cake. I've used octoprint for a few years. It runs on an (original) Raspberry Pi right beside my printer. I like that I can send a file directly over from slic3r, and not have to worry about it.

No idea about astroprint though. I don't really see a need to go through a cloud service.

I can't wait to see what your surface finish looks like. I'm printing a case as well, but haven't really considered sanding or painting it.
