Re: Custom Orange-Pi Portable

Just thinking about the positioning of the left joystick and D-pad. What systems do you plan on playing mostly? Most retrogames only support the D-pad. Even for the PS1, there are just a few games that use the joysticks. I would put what you think would be used more in the top circular area of the ...

Re: Custom Orange-Pi Portable

Cool! What 3d printer? Do you possibly have a link to the screen you used? I bought a dirt cheap Anet A8 and have a long list of upgrades and modifications. I got it mainly for the price and the relatively huge print area (220x220x240mm) which is 10mm wider than my shell, so I can do it all at once...

Re: Two controllers in one Leonardo

I imagine you could run the input as keyboard buttons and map those alphanumeric values to button controls. Someone more experienced with programming should jump in here, but you could program say WASD controls and Numpad controls in arduino, then in the emulator settings, set those groups of inputs...

Re: Forum restructuring

I never had a problem with the current structure, but I welcome any way to further segregate categories so users can easily get to the information they need. My only humble suggestion would maybe be to add an area for part sourcing. I've seen and been involved in a number of the "where's the best pl...

Re: Custom Orange-Pi Portable

So I didn't like the bulkiness of the first back panel. Experimenting with a few more revisions, but I found a miscalculation in the depth I would need to I was able to chop 20 mm off without issue. I like the chamfer better, but it's still a bit too blocky...but it's a good starting point. I also s...

Re: How would I hook up a composite LCD to an Orange Pi Zero?

Join the Facebook group, they respond within minutes in my experience and have a post on this exact thing. But I think you'll want to connect your video input to "TV-OUT". There are some other steps that the group host could inform.

Re: How to go about wiring PWM audio?

Well, I was trying to figure out how to run this initially on a USB sound card where I wanted to attach a speaker, which failed miserably. So I bought a pack of generic jacks on eBay which are in a drawer at home... I'm guessing jacks are different and I just haven't paid close enough attention to ...

Re: How to go about wiring PWM audio?

Hey, I'm also doing a build with PWM audio with a headphone jack, kitsch-bent mono amp and a diy low-pass filter. Here is my complete wiring. GBZ Wiring.png Any chance you can show the wiring to the headphone jack to the speaker? I'm assuming that inserting a headphone plug deactivates the speaker?...

Re: ICMF's Pi Zero in a custom case.

First up, the battery has been moved to the side. I *wanted* it to be in the middle for balance, but that just wasn't going to work out - makes it harder to locate everything else, and would require a thicker device. I know what you mean, from an organizational perspective, but I don't think it'd b...
