Re: Teensy: Keyboard vs Joystick Decision
@Wermy I see where you're coming from. Also, one of the reason (and advantage?) using the Teensy as game pad is you get a different and separate button mapping for actual keyboards and another configuration for game pads. I was disoriented at first when I attached a real USB keyboard and EmulationSt...

Re: [question] use of old GB PCB
@Fleder The primary reason why I wanted to use the controller board itself is because it comes with the USB chip built-in and I don't have to the Teensy (assuming that I didn't fry my game pad), which means reducing the need for another board inside the case. Theoretically, and others have been succ...

Re: [FOR SALE] Pololu mini switch to gracefully shutdown GBZ
@Popcorn Are you able to make this switch work? I tried the GPIO method with a momentary switch and while it worked, one has to be logged in as root. The implementation that I've seen for this Pololu switch using an Arduino is that this switch delays shutting the power. At the moment, I can't think ...

Great start Brian!
I see you have all the needed components in your hands, excellent! Looking forward to your build.
PS: Finally, I can address you more easily! It's difficult to memorize you other (numeric) handle.

Re: chiz's GB Pi2
Update #11 Making a custom bracket for the screen Today, I worked on mounting the shoulder buttons at the back and started working on the bracket for the screen. Using Loctite Epoxy Plastic Bonder and the screw posts (salvaged from step 1 video), I laid out the screw along the top of the screen. Th...

chiz's GB Pi2
This is my progress log transferred from the old forum I’ve grown tired and impatient waiting for the Pi Zero to become available again and since there isn’t any indication on when the Zero will be available the soonest, I decided to go with my “plan B+”. And yes, I chose not to pay the premium to ...

Old forum content
Wondering how the data migration is coming along. Should we wait for it to complete? Or everyone should be moving over their old threads esp the works progress posts?

Thanks again Wermy for the new forums. Can you enable "quick reply" please? I miss the functionality where one can immediately type and post a reply. This is very useful especially if you're using the mobile version of the forum

Re: Teensy: Keyboard vs Joystick Decision
@Fleder and @solder That's my makeshift controller PCB until I get the GBZ controller PCB from Helder. I wanted to get a feel of the space and layout so I went one step further to Wermy's copper tape buttons  Anyways, regarding the USB game pad code... It's readily available and can be opened i...
