Re: My New PCB Prototypes

I'd like to use your Power assist pro (and a bunch of other of your boards) on my pi 3+ build. Does the power board put out enough amps? Hey cdndavid, It can run a Pi 3, but you'll get lightning bolts. From what I've seen and experienced, the voltage drops/lightning bolts can mostly be eliminated b...

Re: Raspberry Pi Activity Centre for my kid

Keep in mind that a 1 year old will want to touch the screen.

Re: The GigaBox, Take 1 (My first GBZ)

Congrats on the finished build. Looks good. Sounds like you took the scenic route and encountered all sorts of interesting creatures along the way. (Some quite friendly and others not so nice.) As for the SPI screens, I still recommend those for a Zero W build. They're crisp and low power. With fbcp...

Re: My New PCB Prototypes

Did you set up your SD card image to use fbcp or fbcp-ili9341? It'll stay a white screen until that's configured. It's usually easiest to do that while you still have access to the HDMI port, or if you have another Pi Zero you can set it up on that first. (or, you could even use the composite TV con...

Re: My New PCB Prototypes

Hi, I'm having some touble getting the screen to work, its just black, no backlight or anything. I already posted in this other thread https://sudomod.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=44&t=8279&p=76861#p76861 but this may be the better place to get support with your board. Thanks, I think infinitLoop's re...

Re: My New PCB Prototypes

The left side of the capacitor right below the hub should be reading 5V, as should the red wire.

Re: My New PCB Prototypes

That's odd. If the USB hub itself wasn't connected to the Pi, it shouldn't have shown up in lsusb, but it did (Terminus Technology hub). I was thinking it was more likely that the culprit was one of the two 5V pads that needed to be connected, which would've prevented it from recognizing the sound c...

Re: My New PCB Prototypes

Correct. The lower left pin is for D-. The pin next to it is D+. Those go to the Pi. On the opposite side, the fourth pin from the left is D+ going to the sound chip, and the one next to it is D-. You can see both of those going through the FB1s into the CM102S+. (the next two go to the external USB...

Re: My New PCB Prototypes

Well, I got everything working. Initially, USB was acting flaky (no USB devices would connect, including the sound). Then it just started working, and was fine for a couple weeks. A few days ago, I remapped my buttons in RetroGame so they'd work with the snes9x (non-libretro) core, and all of my Re...
