Re: GBZ wiring check

I just did a mock up and was looking for someone to double check my work. It is using a pi 3A+ you don't need the 5v power going to both the main power and the gpio 5v. thats redundant. use the main (not gpio) one for better protection against power issues. the audio would be better off with the L ...

Re: Pi Zero Death streak...

Does it seem to happen with all Pi's? Or just the Zero's? well, i've only had that happen with the zeros, but i can't say it's not my fault, at least some or most of the time. i've killed a couple other pi 3s, but usually i think i know why - it's some mod or something i've bridged or something lik...

Re: Pi Zero Death streak...

definitely. thats happened to me a few times. one build in particular did the exact same thing on me - worked for a while, mysteriously died, i thought "well i musta shorted something", replaced the pi, worked, died... i never managed to figure out why on that one, but my guess was something in the ...

Thanks in advance!! have you tried just running the install for retrogame or whatever you used in retropie...

Re: Circuit Sword Lite - Headphone Jack - No sound! HELP!

try posting in kite's forum. it sounds like you lifted the traces off the board when you knocked the jack off, so you won't be able to just solder it back in place. you'll need to expose some more of the trace, or solder a wire/jumper to whereever those were going. but if you ask in his support foru...

Re: RetroPie 4.6 Pi0 Performance?

I've honestly given up on RetroPie using a Pi Zero, as every release makes the performance worse & worse. Emulators seem to be focusing on features like run-ahead, which might work great on a Pi 4, but just kill the fun on a Pi Zero. Ideally, it'd be nice to get my hands on an older ~2016-2017 vers...

Re: USB Hub Pinout Help

Thank you, that makes perfect sense. Is there a way for me to determine which of those pins is data? I assume that the pins won't necessarily correspond directly to the port pinout, correct? i'd guess that the pins and port pinout should line up pretty well actually. the four legacy pins are near t...

Re: USB Hub Pinout Help

usb 3.0 has more pins to transfer more data, faster, than the 2.0 hub wermy used.

if you want to hook it up to a pi 0, just find the d +/- and 5v/gnd and leave the other pins disconnected.

Can a raspberry pi be powered by one (or two) of these? I have 2 of these so would save me £15 or so with my build instead of the flat lithium batteries
yes
