Re: Black "beauty" - RPI3B
Very nice. Those side screws are a great way to hold it together. How is that joystick placement for play-ability? I figure with N64 games the Z trigger would be hard on the hand assuming you'd be using R1 or R2. I'm still undecided where to go on my CM3 build. I also have issues with the low power ...

Re: White GBZ First Build
Nice and clean! 👍 You might want to use this bracket next time by sixteenbit. Yeah this is a bracket based on HooyHoo’s that I added a few things to keep everything in one case. https://www.tinkercad.com/things/79roQf39c1O Thanks, that bracket looks great! I actually noticed it in other builds but ...

It's like the best bang for your penny deal I can think of, literally. I disagree - this is literally the best bang for your penny: https://www.raspberrypi.org/forums/viewtopic.php?t=141441  The Micro to A adapters are a good find and cheap, too. Definitely worth having in your parts bin.

White GBZ First Build
Got a little impatient waiting for Kite's board so I took a go at doing a Zero. Still a work in progress but got it together enough to close it up and test it out. Big thanks to everyone here that's made my childhood dream of having a handheld color console come true. Tried to stay away from the evi...

Re: Anybody tried AA sized LIPOs
Very cool! No need to modify battery compartment! Also could be swapped on the go. A normal Lipo outputs 3.7volts but looks like they are stepped down within the battery to 1.5volts. Can't be charged with anything but a specific charging unit. No need to use a boost but you'd have to get the volts d...

Re: New GBZ Build, New to Electronics
thank you. perhaps ill use dissected usb cables for components and buy some 24 awg for use for power. would 24 awg wire do the trick for all wire on this project? i will twist the wire. it seems like common sense says it would be the way to go... i have watched several instructional videos and read...

Re: Looking to buy GBZ glass screen border.
I had the same problem! I got in on the gorilla glass pre-order from YaYa. Will be a while but will still beat some other parts for my build to my door. Handheld Legend also has some clear screens available in their regular DMG glass screen area. No border, but it'd keep stuff out of the case and st...

Re: New GBZ Build, New to Electronics
I confirm the need of 24 awg or better for power. I suspect that USB cable has 26 or 28 but could be wrong. My first project with a Pi Zero worked perfectly with 28 awg. A couple of weeks later the Pi Zero Wireless came out so I dropped that in place of the original. Had problems with screen blankin...

Re: Hide Shutdown text
Cheers @Megaloop I have all the stuff in place to stop all the boot text but it was the shut down text that was alluding me lol Well that's a bummer. I'm no expert, just trying to offer help from my own experience. I assume this is what you have in place to disable boot text already? https://sudomo...
