Re: [WIP] Project RetroBoy; a custom CAD drawn Gameboy case
Update: variation try There's some people who for some reason want a 1:1 case even while I said from the beginning I wouldn't and couldn't do an exact copy and at times I just have to try something how it works out. This is one of those things I tried while waiting for my battery packs and personal...

Re: What is your first video game memory?
For me it was this game in I think 1990; https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FdAQYLI_2b4 (Grand Prix Circuit) on an IBM 386 with Tandy colours. My father bought the PC for cad work but that didn't really work out (he was helpless with computers and still is to this day) and all he did was use it for spr...

Re: [Order] 1mm Gorilla Glass with Silkscreen border [batch1&2 OutOfStock] [more coming soon]
I just wanna let you know that I got my Glass today and I am very happy with it. It turned out there is a gap of about 0.5mm on each side. Maybe that is normal though. Thanks a lot for the fast shipping to Germany. Got it in yesterday (NL), but no gap here. Keep in mind some aftermarket cases are n...

Re: [WIP] Project RetroBoy; a custom CAD drawn Gameboy case
Also, your comment on not showing screws..... sounds hard...... Maybe save for a separate CAD project? You would have more control on the form factor if you broke free of the GB shape, which would make going screw free easier. But keeping GB shape would make going screw free a huge headache. Screw ...

Re: [FOR SALE] CNC acrylic stand for Game Boy
In my country these are available for a few € to put books on, I'm sure they're available elsewhere too!
Googling "(acrylic) book stand" gives quite a few results that could work.

Just got the screen surround in today and it looks really nice .
The surround lets through a really nice clear picture and the detail on the silkscreen looks really nice too.

Re: [WIP] Project RetroBoy; a custom CAD drawn Gameboy case
*cut text* I've looked into the PCI-e connector too, before but in a different fashion; http://www.flashmasta.com/2012/06/19/how-to-make-a-videogame-cartridge-connector-for-neo-geo-pocket-or-gameboy-nes-snes-genesis-etc/ Either way requires me to learn eagle as I currently can't do that... it's get...

About the screen, this is how it is right now... there was voted for the square one and just showed what was possible. http://i.imgur.com/zp5IxZv.png http://i.imgur.com/bqgBOsb.png These are the only 2 types being used right now. The silkscreen border is set to 2mm as with all surrounds I'm aware of.

Re: [WANTED] Cartridge reader (EU)

I am going to build a second gbz to give to my little brother, and i can't find a GB to u...
