Re: Super AIO - Updating to latest Retropie image?

Well - I used the Raspberry Pi imager to go to 4.4 to try and fix my issues from thread https://www.sudomod.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=51&t=10424. It booted once, then I turned off and thought safe shutdown ran. Then I turned it back on and it went through the scan disk procedure. It asked me to pre...

Re: Game Boy Zero folks: do your GBZ's actually work on SNES?

From my experience, GBA and SNES are essentially the limit of what the Pi Zero can handle. For the GBA, the lr-mgba emulator tends to stutter, but I've had good gameplay experiences using the lr-gpsp emulator. For SNES I think I've always used the default (lr-snes9x I think) and can't recall any pro...

Re: Need help for repair Game hat wavrshare

Looks like it was probably an MT3608, given its proximity to an FS8205 and 22uH inductor, but I'm not sure if that can be easily salvaged. Maybe once it's cleaned up. https://lcsc.com/product-detail/DC-DC-Converters_MT3608_C84817.html Disclaimer: I don't own one, so I can't be sure if that's what it...

Wireless 3d Printing - Cheap - The Orange Pi Zero and OctoPrint

Summary: For about $20, you can upgrade your 3d printer with wifi, ethernet, a web-based management interface, and still run it all off the single power cable that your printer came with, and without soldering anything. Background: I had picked up a half dozen OrangePi Zero boards on AliExpress wit...

Re: Composite Screen Not Working

Your white wire on the Pi is connected correctly to the TV pin, but that yellow wire is connected to a ground pad on the Pi.

Re: Raspberry Pi 4 old new build

Nice to see a build using the Pi4. I read that the Pi4 has to run with slower clock speeds in order to support composite, so it disables it by default. I imagine you re-enabled it in raspi-config or the config.txt file. Good to know that it still runs plenty fast for games, but I wonder if that's pa...

Re: Select and down do weird things

This is really strange, and the first I've heard of it. The button grounds and audio grounds should all be independent of each other. There shouldn't be any crossover.

Re: Custom 4.3in Landscape Handheld w/ GameBoy Advance SP-style Buttons

This is pretty incredible Dividion! So you do have all of your power management built-in your custom board, right? What would be the general cost of a unit? (out of curiosity) Thanks! Yeah, all of the buttons, power and audio components are built in. You really just need the following: 3-d printed ...

Re: RetroPie 4.6 Pi0 Performance?

Yeah, I've got to agree. I saw more a lot more stuttering initially than I was expecting to. I uninstalled some of the extra packages, and changing a couple of the emulators helped a little. I normally don't overclock the zero, but I might give that a shot also. I wouldn't call the performance terri...

Re: Build Log: First Time Builder

if you're doing a an actual teensy, your best bet is to follow wermy's guide. if i recall correctly, it can be tricky getting the arduino ide to work with it. tinkerboy's guide uses a pro micro so i'm not sure it'll work on a teensy. the buttons are already mapped in his code sample. Actually, it s...
