Re: Taking the GBZ on a flight

I was wondering if this was still calid after the Samsung Galaxy battery not being allowed during flights. These had to be reported in all of your luggage so having a powerbank fueling your 'homemade' device felt a bit dodgy. Thanks for the updates! Innocent until proven guilty applies here. A phon...

Re: Taking the GBZ on a flight

I would like to revive this topic. I am a frequent flier (in Europe, mainly between France and Austria) and experienced strict restrictions on batteries after the whole Samsung Galaxy craziness. Would you still think it is ok taking your GB on a flight? Please read the rest of my post if you haven'...

Re: GBZ and externally accessible USB

Even if you have wifi, having an external usb is useful. Wired keyboards are dirt cheap and they are the easiest way to manage your file system/rename files/enter cheat codes, among other things. Not like you have a better use of the case window anyway.

Re: Can't get sound out of retropie, using helder aio

Can you edit it straight off of the micro sd, save changes, and put the card back into the pi with new settings? Yes. Doing this is intended which is why the config is one of the few files that are visible. Helder has a pre-configured config file in the first post of his thread that you can use ins...

Re: Cheats for specific games?

What I've been doing lately for some emulators and actual hardware lately to get cheats to work is hack ASM (assembly) codes into the rom itself and they work fine. Ohhhhhhhh my god. Kudos for actually learning assembly. I have friends back home who learned it and I know it is NOT easy, but the rew...

Re: [WIP] Project RetroBoy; a custom CAD drawn Gameboy case

Not to step on anyone's toes because everyone is doing a great job with the modelling, but here was a post: http://sudomod.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=27&t=924&start=20 It hasn't really gotten any activity in a few months, but it was looking real good. I downloaded the files myself, did very little c...

Cheats for specific games?

I'm trying to get cheats working for a certain game. Specifically megaman zero 3 for GBA on gpsp. Does anyone have any ideas how to get this to work? Edit: I got this to work by changing the region of the game (i don't know what region of the game i had before...) and getting a save with the cheats ...

Re: [WIP] Project RetroBoy; a custom CAD drawn Gameboy case

My problem with the wermy style L+R buttons is that they are completely flat, so you need to push the button in (aka towards the case), which isn't so easy when your fingers are angled just by virtue of where the buttons are located. This is a problem for a few games where you need to press them flu...

Re: I need a good book to read?

I'm going to ignore your genre preferences and plug the only two books I was interested in enough to read on my own time. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Flatland https://www.amazon.com/Blue-Nowhere-Novel-Jeffery-Deaver/dp/0684871270 I may actually read them again now that I can remember the details o...
