Re: Robots86 Gameboy Mod V3 - pi3 Edition

Sorry to hear about v1 and good luck on v3!

I like how you presented the GB case with the mods. Is that something available for download or you drew using Illustrator or some other vector drawing program? It's crisp and yet you managed to add some retro feel to it with the texts! 8-)

Not sure if you've seen @Helder 's work but is pretty similar to what you described.

Re: Thanos GB Zero build

Great idea on connecting the Teensy! Correct me if I'm wrong but it appears the security monitor already has amplifier, charger and battery status indicator already built?!

Re: chiz's GB Pi2

The ports are among the hardest to desolder. Since I don't intend to salvage the ports, I just cut the the metal that my cutter can reach so I can lift them off the board. Once they're out of the way, I desolder the remaining metal and lead off the board.

Re: Keyboard & teensy both connected, error

I'm using the Teensy as gamepad due to this exact same challenge. The advantage of having the Teensy as gamepad is you can have configurations for both and don't confuse you whenever you switch between the control buttons and a regular keyboard. I just used the joystick program code under the Teensy...

Re: Popcorn's GBZ

@Popcorn

Glad to hear. Just want to clarify though if the added circuitry of the graceful shutdown resolved the PB1000C issue of triggering the low batt status too early?

Re: Help | Audio issue

Do you have your amp ground and power connected directly to the pi? If not, try that first.

I noticed the same crackling/buzzing sound when I initially connected the amp power and GND to the breakout board.

Re: Best SD card size for retropie ?

I guess this is purely depending on personal preference.

I'm using a 64gb card coz I intend to install XBMC on my GB Pi2 and let my daughter watch movies when she gets bored of the games. Videos can take a lot of disk space so I'm using the max card size I can afford.

Re: Composite with Raspberry Pi 2/3

Are you supplying the same voltage when using your dvd player vs when using the Pi's? Are you use your composite video connections are same when using the dvd and the Pi's?

If you're using the same SD card for both Pi's, try using a different one with a fresh retropie install.
