Re: Game Boy Color Zero (GBCZ) *With Build Guide Notes
This is sweet. I just picked up the last common ground board Glitch'd had for the GBC. Waiting for it to get to me. I was wondering though with the power assist basic if you could route the charge port to a different area, like where you had the full size USB port. Kinda of like how the gaboze is s...

Re: First GBZ Build - Pocket Adventures Parts
yes, that's normal. it needs the battery to operate. it can't only run off the charging port, or it tends not to have enough current. the battery powers the pi and other components, and the barrel jack recharges the battery.

Re: First GBZ Build - Pocket Adventures Parts
Thank you for the reply! I realized that the power connection was not needed. Sorry I didn't reply sooner as I'm part of the Iowa derecho destruction that happened on the 10th, just got power back yesterday so this soldering project was put on hold. I'm hoping the SPI screen I got will work, I foll...

Re: First GBZ Build - Pocket Adventures Parts
If someone could tell me if I'm on the right track, I'd appreciate it. Sorry about the goofy colors on the pictures, it stood out on my phone, but my not look as good posted here. yep - looks like you are doing it right. you don't need the 5v power to the button board (theres nothing powered on the...

Re: GBZ Speaker
I'm faced with this exact question too. I can't believe it's not been answered yet!? :( Surely it's documented somewhere? I took my speaker out of an old gb and all the circuit board says is SP1 and SP2? Can anyone help? it doesn't (usually) matter - those speakers are essentially a resistor, so yo...

Re: Composite Screen Not Working
Your white wire on the Pi is connected correctly to the TV pin, but that yellow wire is connected to a ground pad on the Pi. so I need to put the yellow where the white is currently and what about the white? do i splice both wires to the same port? the yellow and white wires are separate inputs - A...
