Saw pimonori have something called Zero LiPo with enable pin and lower battery detection so you can shutdown the pi gracefully. A bit cheaper than the Powerboost 1000c in the UK at least. Security monitor arrived. Opened it up and attached video to the pi through the usb type plug at the top. Whilst all connected to a separate power supply, everything works well. Tried to connect the pi to the 5v source I found on the board and the pi keeps restarting and something is emitting a hum...

Easy, get a new tip and use only leaded resin core solder (63/47). I leave the iron on for hours sometimes, never oxidised.
The lead free solder is bad for the tips.

A possible solution would be extending the cartridge, but I'm not sure how that would look like placed in the Gameboy..

I did a mockup print to see if it's physically possible to fit the zero in cartridge. The zero seems a little thicker than the available space inside the cartridge. IMG_20160817_082903.jpg Also there is the issue of the outputs. As well. I don't have a connector to see the max distance we can place ...

I really want one of thems. I too have a black shell for mine. I almost broke down and bought a 3 dollar game with a black shell. Hehe But then again it doesn't have the engraved Gameboy Zero on it... lol. I made the top cover of super game girl with Carbon fiber too and looks awesome! IMG_20160817...
