Re: Peoplesbeer GBZ (WIP) - Startup and questions

It worked, lol. :D
Also added the screen to the powerstrip instead of having it through the Pi.

Now: try to program my Teensy ripoff and then go for the audio part.

Re: Peoplesbeer GBZ (WIP) - Startup and questions

Ok, I'll try that! The Pi boots when I plug the charger right to it so it's not fried, yet.

Edit: googled and found a PP-description for the Pi and yes, I've wired the PP1 wrong. Well that makes me feel stupid. :D
I know I've watched that same googled picture earlier...

Re: Peoplesbeer GBZ (WIP) - Startup and questions

Did some case mod tonight and finally got to the wiring again, trying to solve my previous issues. But no luck. This is how it's wired now: http://i.imgur.com/2bitj8i.jpg 1: Video from screen. 2: Red/black on PP22 and PP23 for powering the screen. 3: Black/white on PP1 and PP2 to the powerstrip. 4: ...

Re: Charging/Power Lights. How have you done them?

Hm... Might give it a go again, I ended up ordering another board that BadBert posted, seems like that one could do the trick pretty well.

Re: BadBert's GBZ Build

Wooh I'd like to see some wiring diagram as well! Been trying to zoom and look at your pictures and it works great, most of the time, but not always. :D

Thanks for the tip on the other LED status indicator board, didn't hesitate to order one. :)

Re: Charging/Power Lights. How have you done them?

That's what I did as well. But I wanted to extend the LED's so I could place them wherever I want but the solder wouldn't stick to the legs of the LEDs so I didn't continue with it...

Re: Peoplesbeer GBZ (WIP) - Startup and questions

ABH: Hm, I think that's how I wired the rest but I'll have a look and get back to you.

vnman: Yeah I saw that others wired their switch differently but I'll try this for now, and that shouldn't be the one causing my issue.

Re: Alexln's Game Boy Zero

If he/she doesn't want it, I'll take it! ;)

Edit:
That hammer "mod" was clever, I almost threw that piece of junk away yesterday, flipping over all the time. But that's Biltema in a nutshell.
