How-to: Use USB Audio in Retropie v3.7

For those who's considering to go the USB audio route (vs. the PWM method), I've prepared this guide to help anyone who's at a loss on how to configure their Retropie installation for USB audio use. Note you'll need a USB keyboard attached or you can SSH into your system assuming you have configured...

Re: Tackling Graceful Shutdowns on the GBZ

@prerunnerseth Since you mentioned about power, might as well consider creating the circuit with Powerboost + Pololu switch combined. Not only it makes your product unique in the market but for us makers, you shrink the footprint by combining both rather than having to use these two separate product...

Re: Tackling Graceful Shutdowns on the GBZ

@Popcorn Thanks for pursuing and sharing this! I didn't have the time to go back to my set-up and I don't think I need to since you already cracked it. :D Do you mind if you can post the exact pin connections? As you know since I removed the even-numbered GPIO pins on my RPi2 I'm wondering if your s...

Re: chiz's GB Pi2

Sorry for the late reply guys. I'm swamped with work on my day job and has not had the time lately to visit the forums. Nways... @Retrohead95 I just cut the hole using the pin vise + jeweler's saw technique then widened the hole slowly using a set of needle files. @Deadtime Yes, it can be done. :) @...

Re: [question] use of old GB PCB

You are correct. Use the game pad board only if you don't plan to use a Teensy or the GPIO pins.

Re: chiz's GB Pi2

Brian on his build log asked a question how I was able to chamfer/bevel my X & Y buttons. Posting the illustration here as well. http://i87.photobucket.com/albums/k141/adrktemplar/button%20bevel_zpsyrumjml6.png And here's the result of this technique. Notice the chamfered X & Y buttons in the pic be...

Re: Brian's GBZ

No you don't have to cut at all but just shave to remove the sharp corner. I hope the pic below illustrates better what I mean.

Re: Brian's GBZ

Great start Brian! I see you have all the needed components in your hands, excellent! Looking forward to your build. PS: Finally, I can address you more easily! It's difficult to memorize you other (numeric) handle. :D thanks! I kinda wanna trim the ring of the holes a bit but I'm really worr...
