Re: 3.5 inch HDMI Display - high energy usage - WITH Fix

Yeah i'll do that when i get home tonight, assuming i remember since i wont be getting home till late today lol. None of my stuff is assembled yet so it'll be easy to read it all still. Literally all ive done with this hdmi build so far is mod the case, flash the SD card, and verify the screen works...

Re: GBA Games dont work [SOLVED]

Re: GBA Games dont work

Had no idea there was an extra step for that one. Thanks!
I have a Pi3 on my TV and it played N64 games with nothing more than just flashing the retropie image and giving it some games so i didnt think anything remotely "high tech" needed additional work to function at all.

Running through my list of games making sure the roms i got work and i noticed literally NONE of my GBA games work. They all work on my main computer utilizing VisualBoyAdvance so i'm not sure if somehow every single one of my GBA roms just simply arent compadible for the Retropie engine or if there...

Re: 3.5 inch HDMI Display - high energy usage - WITH Fix

Oh im still using the breadboard but the power source is the powerboost 1000c instead of Random USB #1141 i had lying around i hacked up to expose the wires lol. I'm guessing it wasnt able to supply enough power and once the Pie booted up enough programs it flipped out and rebooted. I didnt have tha...

Re: 3.5 inch HDMI Display - high energy usage

Hi, maybe someone uses the hdmi screen too and want to squeeze out more runtime on batteries. You can save about 25% power with this screen if you desolder the two AMS1117 chips. There is one AMS1117-18 (supplies the 1,8V rail) and one AMS1117-33 (supplies the 3,3V rail). The display now uses the f...

Re: How to connect via ssh over wifi to your Pi from desktop computer without attached screen, or keyboard, or even butt

Finally got a wifi dongle that works with a pie so i can connect to my first GBZ pie. Yeah, the hostname works with retropie but not retropie.local Which might be where i got the retropie flash image from and not your guide. I forget where i got this from, it was one of the guides on this site i jus...

Re: How to connect via ssh over wifi to your Pi from desktop computer without attached screen, or keyboard, or even butt

bit confused about the retropie.local shortcut I just got my pie in for my 2nd GBZ and this one has wifi so first thing i did was flash it with retropie image then try to SSH into it. For some reason typing retropie.local port 22 in my putty didnt work. I looked at my router and saw it was connected...

Re: RAYDEO - GBZ Project

yeah even with yaya's optimization to save on battery life that 500mah wont last very long.

I'd wager 45mins before you need to shut it off (never let the pie lose power or hard shut off, always shut it down properly or you risk corrupting the SD card)
