Re: Custom Handheld Arcade console with Raspberry Pi3

The project looks great! I was wondering how you were able to code the PSP analog stick? Using the Teensy. Its emulating joystick and keyboard. See code below: /* Complete USB Joystick /keyboard Example Teensy becomes a USB joystick with 11 buttons and 2 axis input Button 12 is ESC keyboard, and bu...

Adafruit MAX98357 I2S Class-D Mono Amp with Gameboy Zero

Hi, Anyone is using the Adafruit MAX98357 I2S Class-D Mono Amp with his gameboy zero? I added the I2S amplifier to it on the recommended pins, followed the instructions to setup the system to use it but when the only thing it does is low noise static, followed by silence when I play a sound. Any ide...

Re: Collecting information on alternative displays - please contribute

Now you are really start to speak my language. If I could run a screen and the pi off a 3.3v battery then I could drop a couple unnecessary parts from my build. Are you one of those guys running the pi straight off of 3.3v even though it supposedly doesn't work? (there's a thread on raspberrypi.org...

Re: Collecting information on alternative displays - please contribute

Good luck with this, it is the first one I have seen that claims to handle audio for less than $100. One that uses an actual hdmi connection and has a speaker or 2 in it and runs off 5v would be amazing, but I'm not going to hold my breath on that. It actually runs from a 3.3v battery so I can use ...

Re: Custom Handheld Arcade console with Raspberry Pi3

So you are using this INSTEAD of the PowerBoost 1000 Charger, if i am right. This module seems to be really great. I am thinking about putting the screen in a small window on the back of the Case. We will see. Thank you! Yes, I'm using only the Smakn charger/booster, NOT the Adafruit Powerboost 100...

Re: Collecting information on alternative displays - please contribute

I bought this display that comes with lots of parts in it ready for use, even sound.. I'll test it the next days to see if I can get it fit inside the gameboy case. http://m.ebay.com/itm/3-5-quot-TFT-LED-Portable-Test-Monitor-CCTV-Camera-Security-Audio-Video-Tester-J5J8-/291709734092?txnId=13134418...

Re: Custom Handheld Arcade console with Raspberry Pi3

Yes, it's the Smakn board from amazon. These boards are amazing. I got two but I'll buy more for my other battery powered projects perhaps I'll use it on my gameboy zero project as well if I can make it fit.

Thanks

Re: Custom Handheld Arcade console with Raspberry Pi3

Wow, nice project! Wait... is this LCD Screen showing the battery level? Yes, it's the battery charger/booster/level/On-Off all in one device, I was surprised as well how it worked. The cool blue LCD shows battery percentage, 5 volt charges 1/2.1 amp, and micro USB charging as (input). When chargin...
