I would save the microlipo for another project, such as a small form factor handheld with less battery capacity, and just buy the new charging board. It's cheap, common, and will charge the battery faster. Plus, You don't even have to remove the JST jack.

What can I salvage from this?

After a half year of hard work, multiple mental breakdowns, and multiple accidents involving direct contact with a soldering iron.... Nothing. I've been working on this one mintypi, my first ever project, for half a year now, and I'm pretty sure it's done for. The charging port has been superglued.....

I have one with the sound card clipped off, but one of the components called c1 got lifted off.
If you'd be willing to very carefully solder a 18pf ceramic cap into place, and you live in the US, I could send it to you.

Nevermind, You know that blob of solder? It turned out to be a cold joint, or didn't stick to the pad.
It works fine now thanks :)
