Re: Additional part sourcing thread
this diagram should make things clear. instead of wiring the powerboost in, just connect the bat/gnd from the micro-lipo to the 5v line of the Pi, with a simple switch on the Bat line. (ignore the green boards at the top of the pic -it's straight out of the PiGrrl guide) Something like this is how ...

Re: STL Files for 3D-Printing mintyPi
I'm in the camp of folks with a 3D printer who was disappointed about the decision but also totally understand the reason and support you for making it (ordered two kits already). I also know that all of the GBZ parts I've ordered from you (from before I had my printer) were of top notch print quali...

Re: mintyPi 2.0
I am super excited about this project. Personally done 4 of the Gameboy Zero builds it's nice to just do something different. Yes from what I can see the price will come in close to a Gameboy Zero build. But we have close to 3 to 4 weeks to get parts in order. So personally I would say drag your sh...

Re: 3d printer buying advice
I have owned the ANET A8 (Prusa i3 clone) since November of last year and love it. It's definitely geared towards someone who likes to tinker given that you have to assemble it essentially from scratch. That being said, once I got mine up and running it's been almost entirely hassle free and I haven...

Re: mintyPi 2.0
Speaking of Altoids tins - I've been forcing my family to eat them for the past month or so and the only one I can't get rid of is Spearmint. My teenage son who will literally eat anything placed within arms reach actually gave back the tin of spearmint Altoids uneaten.

Re: mintyPi 2.0
Total price of the project ---> $43,23 + $93,95 = $137,18 or $142,18 w/ hole guide in € = 122,26€ or 126,72€ Excluding some shipping costs that might be needed. This costs were calculated this way because of my location (Portugal), the project can be cheaper or even more expensive, depends on your ...
