Well I no longer have a workbench in my room so this is my workspace. Plenty room for a small project anyway.

Alternative Case
For anyone that may be using custom PCBs and the like, a replacement shell like the one linked below may be a viable option. The print on the front is ever so slightly different (notice the letter 'O' in GAMEBOY) but I'd seriously considered using one of these shells since I wanted as good a conditi...

Re: [Wanted] Button wells
It was a very cheap unofficial SNES controller from a UK based eBay seller. Even the internals were as thin and cheap as could be.
Maybe a USB one would be of better quality. Maybe I was just unlucky.

Re: [Wanted] Button wells
This isn't the most cost-efficient idea, but I'll throw it out there anyway: Get an el cheapo SNES controller or something and take the button wells from there. :) This is what I did and I've decided to chuck the cheapo controller and go for something else. The plastic was so unbelievably soft and ...

Re: Low-pass filter for audio out
In case anybody does not want to buy resistors and capacitors. I think that you could use the resistors and capacitors from the old Gameboy board if you have one. On there are resistors with 510 and 220 Ohms which would give us 1.1V and a cutoff frequency of 32khz if combined with a 10nf capacitor ...

Raspberry Pi Zero 1.3
Well it would seem the rev 1.3 board has a camera port, with no mention of audio.

Re: Wire diameter. What to choose ?
Wermy said he used some wire from an IDE cable. I took an unused IDE cable that I have and the wire was 32awg! Maybe all IDE cables aren't created equal because that seems too small. Try to find a floppy ribbon cable or 40pin IDE cable. If yours is very fine gauge, it's likely to be an 80pin cable....

Re: using a Smartphone Display instead
You may have seen this already, and it's hardly a speedy delivery from China, but I've ordered one of these:

I think it's the same as some of the monitors people are buying from Amazon, the one with the nice small driver board.

Re: using a Smartphone Display instead
I doubt you'd be able to find a driver board for it. I've got a bare panel from an old SatNav, but no way of connecting it up to the Pi. It's exactly the right size which really sucks, but at least I can use it for test-fits until my display arrives.
