Re: PCB scheme?

I'm sure these people don't care why people give their hard work away. Most just scour through the net looking for things like this they can attempt to capitalize on with minimal effort. Notice the guy hasn't posted squat on here since. Nor will he. If you look at stuff on thingiverse, lots of it en...

Re: USB speaker desoldering best practices

Funny. I had more issues getting the stupid headphone jack desoldered than the crystal. Do you have a set of exacto blades? Get one. Many hardware stores sell a pretty cheap and decent set for about $5 in the bargain bins. I tried the wick and it helped some. I even tried using my helping hands (ok,...

Re: 3DPi

Not sure on that right off the bat, but from what I've read so far on this site, setting up a thumb/joy pad to the pi zero isn't very easy and clearance may be an issue for you even if you remove the lower screen. The only instance I can find on it so far, was on this site. lol The same project show...

We were heading out to the "range" anyway. We practice every other week or so. I put the battery in a metal box towards the back of my pickup for the trip btw. :)

Re: So it begins...

Yes. The leveling is a bit to deal with at first. Like I said though, big community using them and it was easy enough to get an add-on mod to assist with the leveling.

The z-braces make a huge difference as well.

Re: So it begins...

I love them. Cura printed all items just fine at "standard" without issue. The hinge pieces need some fettling to make them fit together but fine apart from that Looks, good, I'm looking into getting my first 3D Printer, do you recommend the one you are using? if so where can I get one, thanks. I c...

Re: Possible battery puncture

Get rid of it. Way ahead of you. :) Took my oldest out to nearby state land that was set up as a firing range. (common in Michigan) He picked it off at 100ft with a Ruger 22lr on his first shot. (he's only 9) Pretty sweet explosion. My phone tipped over though, so I got no video. Oh well. Taken car...

Re: Possible battery puncture

LOL No. Not really ready to go that far. I checked with multimeter though and all looked ok. So I went for a less technical test. I covered the "puncture spots" with electrical tape. The smell went away within a few moments. I peeled some of it back and there was the smell again. So now the battery ...

Possible battery puncture

Ok. So I have gotten to the point where I was soldering the lipo to the charger board. I was using my helping hands to hold the battery as the weight of the battery kept moving the wire on me as I tried to solder to the board. I thought putting a bit of electrical tape around the helping hand clips ...
