Re: My Gameboy Zero project(s)

No dice. I'm gonna hang it up today and try and think it through.

Re: My Gameboy Zero project(s)

I think I found my issue. When I soldered the 8 pins in they apparently moved and some were touching each other and others didn't appear to contact some of the teeth on the SD card. Had to remove the top off the socket and with tweezers and my Iron, straightened each pin on the socket. I think i bro...

Thanks, not looking forward to it. I was expecting the sockets to be attached. They sell for more "fully assembled" but that sounded like assembled as in, they come in a custom cartridge shell and all. Figured if I just bought the board+socket it was attached.

Re: My Gameboy Zero project(s)

did you get this from Kitchbent? I think I got version A. gggeeeez Yes, I believe revision A had the Micro SD Socket in the center of the board, revision B (the one I have) has it on the edge so I can cut a slot in the side of the cartridge case and access it. Although, I am having connectivity pro...

Re: My Gameboy Zero project(s)

I bought the kk_gb_zero_b PCB with a Micro SD socket attached. I noticed the terminology Kitsch-Bent used in their wiring diagram differed slightly from terminology used for full sized SD cards. I found this image online that helped define those for a Micro SD MSDPinouts.jpg [spoiler="So I mocked th...

Re: My Gameboy Zero project(s)

It is the green Play It Loud case. I could not find a decent looking aftermarket green case. The green ones aren't very rare in the US, the blue ones are super hard to come by however; They are beautiful but I'd hate to tear that one apart. They can be found on eBay to varying degrees of success on ...

My Gameboy Zero project(s)

Hello all, I am truly inspired by this project and am taking on the daunting task of making three of them. I would just like to say I am proud to join this community of makers and I love the positivity being spread throughout these forums. This is my first really in-depth hardware hacking project. I...

Volume/Contrast wheel

I am considering keeping a functional volume and contrast wheel from the original DMG board. I am curious if anyone else has attempted this and if they'd like to share how they wired it to the audio amp/display to work correctly.

Re: Recalbox

I found setting up my NES30 Pro controllers so much easier with recalbox then retropie (remapping buttons was simply). In fact I gave up trying on retropie. Seems alot easier for those with a lack of knowledge in linux (I still don't know what I'm doing half the time). Does this work on the Pi 3 w/...
