Switch shaped handheld
Switch shaped handheld
So I've been looking at doing a GBZero, and love the project and still may do one based on the Pi 3 (or Pi 4 when the software fully supports it) and ran into a guy who built one based around a Pi 3 and 7" touchscreen in a case he designed based on the Switch. The case is fully 3D printed with a thicker design so the Pi 3 and 10000mA battery can fit. I've gotten the case printed and just waiting for the parts to come in for it. I cannot wait to see how this turns out and will keep things updated as I go.

Re: Switch shaped handheld
software support on the pi4 is here already. i've been doing a couple handhelds based on it, and performance is insane! heat / cooling is the big problem you'll need to solve for.
Some of my builds...
BMO GBZ
Star Wars Millenium Falcon Challenge
Game Boy Color Zero
... and another Gameboy Color Zero with custom 3D-printed parts
"Ultimate" 3A+ Build
GlowBoy Zero
Some 3d designs I've done...
Soft Tactile Shoulder Buttons, for screw-hole, well mounting
Snap-in, Soft Tactile Shoulder Button insert, for screw-hole, well mounting
Pac-Man and Space Invaders Themed Rear Fan Holder

Yeah, the heat is the one reason I decided to stick with the Pi3. It’s slow going but here is some progress made.
