Hello people! Here's something i've been working on.
FEATURES (might change): Raspberry Pi 3, HDMI-port, headphone jack, 2xUSB-port, 3.5" screen (Adafruit one in this build), 4400mAh battery, L1-L2,R1-R2 shoulder buttons.
It's not ready yet, but here it is first time kinda assembled and running. I ran into a few problems with this case design, and i'm currently making changes to it. I'll post you more info and pictures about this project if people are interested! I thought about calling it "HeartyPi" because of the speaker hole design, does it sound stupid?

What do you think about this project?
Picture of the "HeartyPi" prototype

Running PS1 of course, thanks to the power of the RPi3 :

I think you're good with heartypi! There was a discussion in another post where almost every other conceivable name was reserved!
That's a nice looking case. What did you design it in?

Thanks! i designed it in Fusion 360, and printed it with Prusa i3 MK2S printer. I used PLA, planning to print it in PETG plastic after i'm done with prototyping

Thanks, sir! I took inspiration from many other custom builds, like the "PiGRRL 2" by Adafruit, "SuperGameGirl" by Cristov9000 and the "Super Pi Boy" by Rasmus Hauschild. I kind of remixed my own version from those ideas into a simpler version, i think. So you might see some similarities in there

Here is some more pictures i took of the current design.
Don't mind the print quality, this is just a test print. (also there is no screws in so it looks weird) I've only had my printer for a month, so i'm still quite a noob.

I don't own Simplify3D slicer which would make everything much easier as i've heard. Anyone here that has experience with it?
About the things you see here; It's not perfect yet, there is some things i'd like to add/remove. It pretty much has simple components, only 1 custom PCB, the button PCB i got from ebay made by PRS-Tech. The buttons will be connected to GPIO, i used Adafruit's retrogame to map the controls. The big round button is the main power on/off, and the smaller switch is for speaker on/off. I'm really not sure about this setup.. I'm thinking about removing the big button completely, i'm not sure if it even looks good and it takes much space inside. I would replace it with the switch that is the speaker on/off at the moment, and maybe adding a "power on" led like in the original Game Boy. Also adding a volume wheel or something like volume + - buttons that work by GPIO would be really nice, is that even possible? What do you guys think?

I Like, I like... I would keep the big power button I think It looks cool, how about instead of the speakers holes looking like a heart you make it the shape of the Raspberry logo? just a thought but keep up the good work, I would also like to buy a few cases from you if you decide to sell in the future.

really nice looking build....
the 3d prints dont look that bad either, especially for the size of them....
you can try water slide decals, i've had some success with them.....
and their fairly permanant....
