Walnut / Carbon Fiber GBZ build (Not mine!)

Post by ThompsonTinkers » Fri Nov 03, 2017 8:00 am

Hey all,

I saw this go by on Hackaday. I've been interested in building my own shell for Kite's Circuit Sword, so this caught my eye. Mine won't look nearly this nice.

There's a complete build log too.

I posted this here, because I wasn't sure if it counts as a GBZ if it's in a custom shell.

Most hobby shops that cater to R/C aircraft will stock carbon fiber sheet stock. Barring that, it's not hard to find on-line.

yes it’s not hard to find, BUT i highly suggest you to take maximum precautions when cutting drilling sanding carbon fibers...
it’s highly dangerous for your lumbs and all respiratory system and also for your fingers... i really insist on the danger !

PS : i’m a RC racer and used to work with carbon for my shock towers
