Screen size

Post by MrBuddha » Mon Jun 06, 2016 3:07 pm

I'm interested in maybe keeping the original gameboy screen size. Would this be too small? If it would work what is the stock screen size?

Thanks guys!

The original gameboy screen is 2.6 in, not sure there's a display that size but you can get a 2.4 or 2.8 in display at adafruit, it's too small for my liking, would be better on a smaller project like a gbc or gbp

Thanks Rob!

I like how the original has aftermarket pcbs And generally more support, a gbp would be sweet but would be pretty hard stuffing all those extra buttons in there (which is an absolute must for playing megaman games ;)

Thanks for the input perhaps I'll have to build one of each!

Thanks!

Extra buttons are the only reason I'm not doing a gbc, also, I had already bought a 3.5" screen when I got a broken GBC to play with
