Modding sons night light.

Post by Xero » Mon Mar 12, 2018 2:43 pm

Hi all,

I'm wondering if anyone can give me a low down on what I need to convert this to a rechargeable light (low light - not bright).

We have this for our son..

However, it runs on gods forsaken 3 x LR44 batteries.

I have soldering kits, blades, most things I need to wire and put stuff together - but not sure how to go about it.

I would like a micro-USB port on the outside that charges a battery, and a switch on the outside, push button or slide switch, not important - but I just need to know, what battery, what led isnt too bright, a switch but most importantly, what parts (chip board, charging board) i need - on a budget... thanks people.

Any help is good help!

Cheers

Tom

Probably the cheapest option would be to use the guts of a powerbank.

Fair call - how would I wire that to an LED and switch?

What's the existing circuit? If it has the led, switch, etc. I'd just wire up the power bank to that. Got a pic of the innards?
