I'm trying to build Ryzee119's GBA project, I have no prior experience with this kind of builds.

Help would be greately appreciated :)

I completed the build, except for the display, when I turn the raspberry pi on the display controller (MIC5365) overheats

MIC5365 is a regulator not a display controller (I could be wrong on this)

What is wrong...
The display doesn’t turn on
You get a white screen
You get a black screen

Are you sure you enabled the screen to SPI (fbcp)
Can you get display out of HDMI

Can you also upload images of what your done...
(The build)

Ideally all sides

but looking at the board design.....
i personally don't feel it actually needs that regulator (especially for the type of screen it is)

you could actually removed the regulator....
and reconnect the power for the screen directly to the 3.3V of the Raspberry Pi
(it will work just fine, and you wont have a regulator that gets hot)

remove regulator, and connect a wire/jumper between the two points (green line)
