DMG rechargable battery pack

I have two of the original rechargable battery packs for the DMG Gameboy and want to do some mods to it. Was thinking upgrade it and the other something more sudomod inspired. What do you guys think.any suggestions

Got pictures of it? Maybe I can adapt it to work with my Sega Nomad Custom Battery Pack pcb.

Can you get some inside of the shell pictures and some dimensions. Also how does this connect to the Game Boy?

I think that black cable goes to the barrel jack on the console
