I built something similar last year using the same screen! It only lasted a day cause I showed it to a friend who accidentally shorted and fried the pi cause he was wearing touch screen gloves

I'm almost finished with the Pro Version, but having issues getting the fbcp-ili9431 driver workiing with this display on a Pi Zero, it states it's an ST7789 and I've tried that as well as ST7789VW with several options, still no joy.
But I'm plugging away

I was able to get past the display driver issue on the Pro version, though of course emulators like the SNES run fairly poorly on the Pi Zero.
I've been tracking my more recent progress on the Pro version here

I'm also finishing the prebuilt images for each design, and trying to find a good place i can host the 3 different Pi images.
