Any news on this topic? I'd really love to build a clean game gear project but unfortunately have no experience in PCB-design at all

HoolyHoo has one practically done, so keep on eye out for when he posts it.

Any news on these PCBs? I’ve managed to ‘reuse’ the original gamegear PCB and modified it but I’d like a real purpose built board

Re: SEGA Game Gear PCB Project w/Pi3
I lost track of this one, sorry. I did manage to snag another GG that's non functional, so I'll be able to take measurements again and rekindle the interest in making the PCBs even if they're just for buttons. I would have to do a lot more digging and learning to make an "AIO" board out of what I've got so far.
As for the other two builders who have been working on one, I also haven't seen anything.

Re: SEGA Game Gear PCB Project w/Pi3
Got two more Game Gears off eBay for next to nothing, started making PCB templates again. Any news on the AIO?
3D printed some PCB templates that hold in soft tactile switches, allotment for LED and a USB C breakout cradle that lines up with one of the ports up top. Will send this over to Eagle eventually because these templates fit much better than the previous ones. Originally made this because I was going to do a DS Lite swap into my unused GG shell. A Pi3 would also be great.

Re: SEGA Game Gear PCB Project w/Pi3
I've been working in a full mod kit using custom PCBs that may be of interest.
