I've been looking to do something similar for a very long time, since they unveiled the v2 compute stick.
This post gives me confidence to do it, but I'm still stuck on some things.
For one, why does the battery say 3.7v?
Also, how do you get power to all the parts of the build and how do you charge it?

Nice, but why are you using a 6A buck converter when the stick only needs 3 (or is it 4) amps? Also, could you do me a lengthy favor and take a picture of your battery to step-down to tp5100 to the stick etc. setup?banjokazooie wrote: ↑Fri Jul 07, 2017 4:47 amYes you cansmau. wrote: ↑Fri Jul 07, 2017 4:24 amCan I do this with one 7.4v battery and can you charge and discharge the battery at the same time?banjokazooie wrote: ↑Thu Jul 06, 2017 2:47 pm

The stick can draw 3.5A and add to that LCD, USB card, Teensy, Audio amplifier, joysticks leds, touch screen, usb hub, fan.smau. wrote: ↑Fri Jul 07, 2017 8:26 amNice, but why are you using a 6A buck converter when the stick only needs 3 (or is it 4) amps? Better to have a buffer just in case taking into account efficiency, voltage dropout and temperature. Unfortunately the only picture available is the one on the first page as the whole assembly is soldered with solid copper wires and glued together.

Re: WII U Intel m5 Console
As a proud owner of this M5 WiiU Gamepad, I started working on improving the overall heat extraction and daily usages.
Here is the modded docking station so it can deliver 9/12v to the gamepad using the same barrel plug as the console.

Drilled a 2nd hole on the back to force fresh air to the fan (still had to replace it by a better one as soon as I receive it) and moved the fan 3cm to the left to add some extra radiators. Original fan will be replaced by better one.
This should be a 28% air flow boost, 34% reduced Db (4,4x less noise).

Re: WII U Intel m5 Console
Hello, I a few/one question(s)
the TP5100 board, does it have charge and play? or just charge?
I plan to use PANASONIC 18650's, sounds good?

Yes you can play and charge.Charging current will be limited to 1.5A. Panasonic are good , have used them in my WIIu project with raspberry pi3.Quantum Skull wrote: ↑Thu Jul 27, 2017 9:04 amHello, I a few/one question(s)

This thing is a work of Art man! One day I'll save up enough to buy something like this, or try and make something similar...
Thanks, Banjo.
Thanks, Banjo.
Re: WII U Intel m5 Console
This is so awesome, for all intents and purposes this is pretty much a Win 10 PC and all.. if so (And I know having a huge cable attached to the thing may be cumbersome but at this point its mostly about it being "possible" rather than "practical".) Modding the case could allow for an HDMI port? and if so on the top or bottom I figure would eb ideal since the cable would get in the way when holding the controller?
