So i have been playing with the eagles, and made this

The theory being, you can plonk a Pi zero on the back, a 2.8" ili9341 tft on the front, and have access to all the free GPIO along the bottom (or top if you are so inclined)

The mountings are drilled so they could be broken off if not needed.

The board is untested, just trying to find somewhere cheap to get some prototypes made (oshpark want $42)

but why are all of your traces ad jaunty angles?

(and sorry, another minor point, your silkscreen labels will all get mostly covered by the screen when it's mounted )

where have you looked? off the top of my head there's pcbway, elecrow, dfrobot, dirtypcb's, ragworm... (and dozens of others. these are just the ones I can knock out quickly that have been recommended by various people to me)

i like the jaunty angles i am still a bit green on the PCB design so it could be better. I did try and have the GPIO in number order, but that made the routing a nightmare!!

Just managed to get an order done on pcbway, $10 for 5 boards, and $12 for the shipping, so now its just a waiting game

yeah the shipping is the worst. the difference in shipping by going for DHL isn't that much and about 3-4 weeks quicker

fancy selling me a board when it comes back?

Yeah i think i might need to move them to the back!! or just scrap them all together and have a cheat sheet like they do with the Pi

The DHL shipping was more than double ($25) which almost takes the price up to OSHpark range

OUCH! I don't remember the difference being so big when I checked it out... but yeah still cheaper than OSH but for 5 boards

it says 15-30 days for the HK post option, so it might not be too bad. hopefully better than some screens i am waiting for, currently in the 7th week of waiting

I have this really great routing program that works with Eagle I can give you to mess with, it is soooo much better than the one built into Eagle itself.

The program is called Eagle2Freerouter but it was hard to get a compiled working version, if interested send me a PM or hop on Discord.

Awesome thanks! I will have a look at that. The one in eagle is a bit ropey!
