GameCubePi 3 WIP

Post by Royalhighness » Sun Apr 23, 2017 4:34 am

Hello,

After finishing a Gameboy Zero I was hungry for more and had some broken Gamecubes laying around.
The first idea was to make a console that could be stand-alone and act like a normal console.
At this point all you need to play is the original power supply and a controller. It also can be connected to a HDMI screen.

What is left to do:
Fix audio.
4x usb on the front in the memory card slots.
Secure everything in place.

Here are some pics, let me hear what you guys think.

This is cool! I love the idea of the screen on the inside. Does it have a battery or does it need to be plugged in to play?
I've just finished my milk.

I could see a powerbank affixed to the expansion port cover; definitely plenty of real estate up for grabs.

A quick update.
Most components are fixed in place, the Pi 3 can be removed if needed.
Audio is working but a bit noisy.

That's nice. I made something similar. No integrated screen tough. Just HDMI output but I love it. I use it everyday to retroplay or to watch some medias on kodi. I'll show it soon
