Hello. Taking a short break from my DMG build to assemble a little side project.

Scooped up one of the last V2.1 boards left from Retro Modding and a replacement GBA case from Amazon.

Start on the case mods. On the front you have to cut the wall off on the button side. At the bottom there are two 90* kickouts that also need to be shaved down:

Then move to fitting the board on the front and back and see if anything additional interferes. I had to modify a screw post to make my vol wheel work.

Then a mod was needed to get the power from my batteries to the board (two 3.7V Lithium 800mAh, size 14500 from amazon).

Take this wire and solder it to BT+ (Next to JST connector on board).

Then start the assembly/fitting process...

Thanks to Flavor (I think you're on here).

Great board. It all fits very nice in the case and is nice and solid. I still need to get some tact button caps to give it a finished look. Yes, the X/Y buttons are tact ones and they click, but that doesn't matter to me.

If you're looking for one, a little Google sleuthing for 'Freeplay Zero' might bring you some answers... I have already backed the project to get another. These are nice!

One problem though... I have the GBA/FPZ connected to my Wifi, but can't find it on my network...???

Any help?

Thanks and enjoy!
(Hopefully I didn't break any rules- I didn't put any links, wasn't sure if it was allowed)

Yeah. I've been following this project since the start. I've been tempted to back the kickstarter too. But I really don't need another handheld. Haha (especially after I do 2 minty pi's) We'll see though, 8 days left in the kickstarter. Looks pretty simple to assemble too.
