How did you go from the joysticks to the teensy? Did you solder in a new connection or did you make use of the existing white wire connector for the original hardware?

In this project I made a custom pcb to hold the teensy 2++ and fpc connectors for the joysticks and buttons.

Thanks for the previous responses :D Can you tell me how you got the home/power pcb printed? Did you use a specific service? Would you be willing to share your design file, if available?

The pcb is so simple I have done it at home with the yellow paper transfer method for laser printer.

Hello... I've been working on a project and I am finally ready to buy a screen... I've been trying to get one from alibaba... everytime I hit order some company responds to my request trying to sell me something different. How do you actually get the lcd that's actually listed?

https://www.alibaba.com/product-detail/ ... 05218.html

Has anyone had any success?

That lcd is expensive around 120£, use cheap alternative with full hdmi port easy to modify for FPC

I just can't be happy with the active area on these smaller displays...

Original screen active display area: 78mm x 138mm
5.98 screen you used: 74.5mm x 132.5mm
The cheaper 5.9 screen: 72.9mm x 129.6mm

Id really like to find a bigger screen that is 1080p but I think we are out of luck. Maybe im being silly... ill try the 5.9 inch and see how it looks

Edit - found this one
US $36.20 16%OFF | 6 inch 2560*1440 2K LCD Screen Display HDMI Module Kit for 3D Printer VR Virtual Reality DLP SLA PC Monitor UV Curing Projector
https://s.click.aliexpress.com/e/pk6WuOJW

74.52mm x 132.48mm so 1.75mm gap on the top and bottom and 2.75mm gap on the left and right. I think this will look good especially because i plan on using a glass screen protector and those are typically smaller than the screen anyway
