I created my electronics workstation originally but never kept the sketches. As the need for a location to put my printers became imperative (my wife relented on her stance of only owning one printer when she started her new hobby this past summer), I created a new sketch that follows my original pretty well.
In addition to this, I opted to make this one customizeable while cutting down the resources necessary. So far, I have come up with a pretty versatile design that needs only a bit of plywood or countertop, screws/nails (although screws are recommended), and only 8 or 9, 8-foot length 2X4's to build the whole thing. The surface area gives you a 2' by 4' surface area and is more than enough for my MK3 and Ender 3 with room around them to spare. There are 2 versions of the design:
- 36" height for those who prefer to stand or not stand long while working (me, in this case)
- 42" height for those who prefer to sit a bit higher (bar stool)
The main difference between the 2 is based on the legs. As this thing is HEAVY once finished, you can remove the legs (if you use screws) and move it around with ease if necessary.
Anyway. I turned this:
