I've got a couple of these hats I bought on a whim but never got around to making a case, thanks for sharing! I'll try to find time to print off a copy, life's been crazy lately but my better 3/4 has to work tomorrow so I might actually have half a Saturday off myself.
Awesome! Be sure to share your success (or otherwise lol). I'm curious to see how well it prints out on others devices. I've only got 1 printer, and I want to make sure all the stuff fits when printed on another device. The tolerances are very slim, especially with the buttons.

So this is interesting. The .stl has some strange artifacts when I try to run it through MatterControl, see attached. What software are you using to slice the file?

I'm also having some serious issues warping, but that's all on my printer. Stupid tape keeps peeling up.

I've been using Cura to slice my files, the artifacts may be something left over in the Google Sketchup files.

What printer do you have? I could provide my gcode files as well, I'm using an Ender 3.

I've got a Monoprice Maker Select V2. I'll try Cura, thank you!

I'm not sure my slicer settings in my gcode would work for you then =( Let me know if you get a chance to try Cura, I'm curious why those artifacts are showing up, I'm still new to all of this =(

I finally got it all put back together today and running. Sadly the audio isn't working, I think due to me moving the speaker wire itself abit much and it broke.

I've got a video of it up and running here, I'm still working out some design flaws in the case before I upload the full case design.

I've updated the STL files on Thingiverse, running them through a 3D print prep tool before saving them.
Can you let me know if you see the same artifacts from the new files?

I've also been working more on the lower layers and should have them up on Thingiverse within a weeks time.

Well work has been killing me, and this weekend looks rough as well. But I still managed to build out V2 of the full case design.

I added rounded / beveled edges to the top and bottom, for abit more comfort while using the device.
I redesigned buttons A and B to be abit smoother and less sharp on the finger while playing
I've updated the charging module mount tabs, its now secured into place with out screws or tape or glue etc.
I've added additional stability tabs on the top and bottom layers to line all the parts up and avoid flexing of the case.
I've added a brace in the middle layer for abit more regidity.

I should be able to print the new design tomorrow and work on an assembly video this weekend.

I put together build 2 of what I'm calling PinkyPi. I found a couple of very very minor design changes to make in the Thingiverse files, but play testing is going well so far!

I am also working on an assembly video, showing how I put everything together.

I've updated the Thingiverse files a couple days ago and just finished a print of a second case setup.

I hope to have the extra battery and other parts arrive Sunday so I can put it together.
