Announcing the sudomod market!

Hey everyone!
I'm excited to show you all something I've been working on over the last couple of weeks: the sudomod market!

While it's been awesome to see all the custom parts that people have been making for the GBZ project, it's become kind of a mess to sort through in the buy/sell/trade forum. This is where the market comes in. Think of it as a more browsable, cleaner storefront interface for the parts people are selling in the forums. This is not a point-of-sale type of thing; the listings simply contain pictures and descriptions of the parts, links to forum threads and PayPal links to buy now where applicable.

If you have something you'd like me to list (I had reached out to a few folks prior to launching just to get it started), shoot me a message! I'll need a title, description, image, forum link, paypal link (if applicable) and an avatar to represent you on the market. That's it!

Let me know what you guys think! My hope is that, as more projects are added in the future, this will make the custom parts that will inevitably appear much more maintainable and user-friendly in the long term.

Great idea!
But i found it a bit confusing at the first sight.
Maybe put them into some categories, not just the "popular" words at the bottom?
A few "hot right now" or "best selling" at the top and then the categories below and the offers in those categories maybe.

Just something that came to my mind when i saw this.
Those are good for blog posts but not that good for looking to buy something in particular.
Just my two cents, maybe i am the only one with those thoughts about it.
Otherwise i really like the idea of having some kind of place for selling and buying.

Love the idea! Just used it to order a few of @Helder items. Simple, easy checkout!

Yep, I can add a widget or something with filtering by project or something else. I'll think of something. :)

And yeah I know it's a little non-standard as far as layout for a store, but that was sort of intentional since it's not really a full-fledged store/point-of-sale type thing. I'll be tweaking it as time goes on though, for sure!

This is great! But, is it supposed to open in a new tab? On the homepage, the other links beside the market link do not open in a new tab.

Ahhh... That's useful!

I've been lurking in the shadows of the forum as a guest for some weeks now.
My GBzero project inventory is starting to build as bits are filtering in from across the globe :P

I'm hoping I'll be able to pull this off.
Never owned a Rasberry Pi, never soldered... and the closest I've gotten to programming has been very basic editing of someone else's html / java script
Yep, I'm one of those.

I'll be doing my research on the basics and build from there before I make a start, so that I'm not pestering people in forums!

Thank you to all involved in providing info across sudomod
