Anyone familiar with sselphs scraper?

Post by Robochris » Sun May 27, 2018 8:56 pm

I’ve always had good luck in the past but I’m puzzled right now.

New install of OS and all roms.
Pi 3
Retropie 4.4.1
Sselph scraped everything perfect as usual except all master system roms and mega drive roms titles E-Z. (Megadrive titles beginning with A-D scraped fine.)

I’m out of ideas except the built in scraper but it takes so much longer I’m just trying to avoid it.

Suggestions?

this may not be of any help to you right now....
but may be of some use in the future (and to others)....

i've only ever scraped them once, as once is enough....

as i have and use the same rom sets for all my builds...
all i've done is to pull/drag the downloaded boxart, videos (downloaded images) and gamelists via network to my PC/Laptop from a build....
(Samba share needs to be enabled, if its been disabled)

https://github.com/retropie/retropie-se ... mba-shares

this saves you to re download the same things over again when making a fresh build....

and when your transferring roms, just move these over as well....

NB: may/should be possible with something like FileZilla Client as well (but i personally haven't tried it)

Have you tired changing the source of the images / info?

Now and again there are outages and ROMs wont scrape at all. I wouldn't be surprised, based on what you've said if there is a database update ongoing or perhaps and db issue.

I'd try a few of the other sources and re-scrape to see what results you get.
