So I messed up the original ili9341 that I used for my retropie setup by cleaning the edges with isopropyl alcohol, some of the alcohol leaked into the display and made big splotches. I bought a new ili9341 display with the same dimensions from the same seller and connected it onto my retropie setup and it's not working at all. it just turns on the backlight and doesn't do anything. I don't understand why this is happening, I was able to plug and unplug the original display and it worked just fine when it was reconnected. The boot script on the raspberry pi is the same, do I need to reprogram the display?
