Confirmed working on RPi3 as well, thanks for the tip, the boot is so elegant now =)

Did you modified any of the steps? I tried it with the Rpi3 but couldn't get past the 4 berrys screen, what I want is having the closest console experience as possible

I didn't change anything at all! Just followed the instructions on page 1. I worked with the basic Retropie for Pi3 image (for a RP3 model B).
Not that I know if it changes anything, but could you be working on Kite's image for Pi3?
