Re: Tackling Graceful Shutdowns on the GBZ
Really interesting, I was about to use a microcontroller on my Playstation Pi since it is not on batteries though this solution is even better! Thanks

Re: Tackling Graceful Shutdowns on the GBZ
Not really important, just a nice feature.
Without that you must use the retropie menu to shutdown your pi before switch off the power.
If you do not that, the risk is to corrupt your SD Card.

It will alert you if your battery runs low andTheNotorious wrote:hey guys this gracefull shutdown is it realy important or something to pimp you GBZ further?

it offers a safe method to shutdown your GBZ via the switch of a button.
If you do not need those features, ignore it.
But some kind of indicator if your battery is low,
is useful if you do not want to have a corrupted SD Card or lose progress in your games.
Re: Tackling Graceful Shutdowns on the GBZ
It's not technically necessary or required but still really important. Shutdowns are otherwise controlled through software, making the physical power button not as useful.TheNotorious wrote:hey guys this gracefull shutdown is it realy important or something to pimp you GBZ further?

I think you need the Adafruit one, or at least a module with similar features like the EN Pin.TheNotorious wrote:ah okay thanks. Are you sure you've got the right power supply module?
You need one which is able to charge and boost the voltage.
