(The audio jack isn't exactly the same pin layout as the radioshack one, so if confused, refer to my picture in the breadboard section.

This is probably a dumb question, but... can I pull the 5V for the Amp from the USB on the DAC, or would that cause problems? In other words, do I need a separate 5V connection from the amp, or can I wire it in-line with the DAC?

So I've followed this tutorial and I can get sound out of the jack, but nothing comes through the speaker. I've double and tripple checked my wiring and its all good. Not sure what other info to give, but ask away if you need. Any help will be great! Thanks :)
Did you ever find a solution?

I know this thread is old and this question probably won't be heard, but I had a (maybe) dumb question. I'm trying to use the sabrant DAC with the adafruit amp wermy used in his build. In the diagram shown in this thread there are three wires coming from the DAC to the amp; L,R, and what looks like an upside down T. What is that middle (green) wire for? The adafruit amp only has two audio in channels alongside the power and ground (and a shutdown pin).

Can anyone clarify?

The upside down "T" is ground. There is no need to connect this to ground, just leave it unconnected.

So, I didn't use my adafruit mono amp since I use the USB Audio Card. Is there a still a need for the audio amp? I used the DAC. Just curious if anyone has a wiring up of all this using the original headphone jack? I tried to follow Wormy layout but the DAC has stereo so I made use of that.

In some cases you won't need an amp you'll have to wire it up and see though.
